Are there no engraving options listed with the pen?

Then unfortunately we cannot engrave it. This is often because the pen has already been processed or because the material does not lend itself to it.

Location of the engraving on the pen

We place the engraving on the pen with extreme precision. Usually, the engraving is applied at 90 degrees to the clip. This depends on the pen. If it is not possible to engrave at this location, for example because of an already applied logo, we will try the other side or engrave on the barrel of the pen.

Number of characters to be engraved

You can have 24 characters, including spaces, engraved. Whether it is a name, date or inspirational message, we will make sure it is displayed elegantly and clearly.

Engraving special characters

We can engrave various special characters, such as the heart ♥, which allows you to add a personal touch to your engraving. You can copy this heart from the line above and paste it into the engraving line. Unfortunately, more complex characters such as Greek or Arabic characters are not possible to engrave.

Left- or right-handed engraving

If you want to present your pen with an engraving perfectly while writing, we take into account the writing posture of the recipient of the pen. We place the engraving so that it is clearly legible when holding the pen in the desired writing hand. In most cases, for the fountain pen and rollerball, this is when the cap is slid onto the back of the pen. This is how a rollerball and fountain pen are designed, then they are balanced.

Appearance of the engraving

Our laser engraving ensures sleek and durable engraving that lasts. The engraving has a subtle appearance and can vary from pen to pen.

Font size of the engraving

The size of the letters can vary depending on the model of the pen and the number of characters in the engraving. Generally, we choose an elegant and legible font size of around two millimetres.

Of course, it is nice to choose your own font. This makes every message unique; sleek as in the case of font Arial or, on the contrary, graceful as in the case of Monotype Corsiva.
We use no fewer than seven different fonts:

Number of engraving lines

In most cases, you can choose to have two lines engraved. A name is often prettier if you have it engraved on one line. If you want a slightly longer text, we can centre it neatly on two lines for a balanced result. When there is only one line open at a pen, the pen does not lend itself to engraving two lines.
